I consider Ullswater to be one of the finest lakes and mountain ranges within the Lake District.

Ullswater itself is fantastic for paddling; long enough to make for a brilliant day excursion or slower trip with an overnight bivouac/camp. A full circumnavigation of Ullswater is a wonderful day out for less than you think, ( see our price guide). Touring/ sea kayak, paddle, buoyancy aid and spray deck provided.

We have frequent stops to brew up and have lunch in beautiful little hidden bays and to enjoy the environment we’re travelling through. Paddling skills, navigation and map reading, as well as the local fauna and flora, are areas we can learn about during the tour. It is an experience you’ll remember and talk about forever.

For a real adventure to hone your paddling and camping skills, we can paddle the length of Ullswater from Pooley Bridge to Glenridding, camp or bivouac the night and then paddle back the following day.

I’ve run several trips around Arran and each one has been uniquely planned. One trip involves paddling around the island over 2 days with a one night bivouac on the west coast. We walk on to the ferry on the first crossing and return on the last crossing the following day.Another trip involves a nights B&B in Brodick- again taking the first ferry then being met by a taxi service at Brodick. We are deposited at Blackwaterfoot on the west coast, then paddling back via the north coast to Brodick, staying in a B&B.  The following day involves a few hours paddle skills in Brodick Bay before returning by ferry.
